Monthly DEC/EC Report (FSD-212)
Hello to All DEC's, EC's, and OES's,

For those of you submitting your reports by packet or email, here is the format to use.  It is the electronic form of the card (FSD-212 (11-98)) that is provided by ARRL HQ.  It will help greatly if we are all using the same format.  You may use the printed form and mail it if you wish, but the electronic form is preferred.  If you wish to abbreviate the form, you may use just the numbers of each answer instead of the full form.

73,

Don Moore, KMØR
Missouri ARES Section Emergency Coordinator

-------------- Notes -------------- -------------- --------------

** Monthly reports are required for several reasons:

a) They show interest and help keep both those above and below you informed and on the same page.

b) ARRL HQ lobbyists and Missouri Section Government Liaison and Local Government Liaisons can use the information to show that we really do provide a lot of service to our communities. You can even use this information to convince organizations to give you grants or approve of your new antenna installation.

1. EC's are required to have this report to their DEC (or SEC if the local DEC position is vacant) and to your ARES team members by the 3rd of each month or sooner.

2. DEC's are required to have this report to the SEC and their EC's by the 7th of each month or sooner.

3. OES's reporting to the EC or DEC are due by the 3rd of each month or sooner. The contents of that report is designated by the EC or DEC of jurisdiction.

4. Nets like SKYWARN are considered public service or training events unless an emergency situation exists.

5. Use the "Comments" section like a newsletter to tell anything else you want everyone to know.

6. If you send your report by email, please fill in the subject line with the month/year and title (i.e.: "10/00 Greene County EC").

7. You may abbreviate your report by using just the line numbers above and filling in the appropriate information next to them.

8. Number and man-hours listed in lines 7, 8, and 9 must add to the numbers presented in line 10.

Contact the Missouri ARES webmaster for site questions or comments.
