I am pleased to announce the appointment of John McReynolds KC0NRO as OES representing Franklin County located in District C. He will be assisting the DEC in developing plans on how best to be utilized within the scope of his duties and responsibilities.

Congratulations to Steve Barrington N9NSO on his appointment as AEC for Barry County in the Missouri Section. Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to this position by ARRL appointments he has held in the past and will be an asset to his EC. This appointment is effective August 1, 2009. Congratulations to Thomas Zeller KB0ORZ on his appointment as EC for Jasper County. This appointment is effective July 17, 2009. Tom had been the AEC before stepping up to the EC postion. I urge all ARES members in Jasper County to give Tom their full support.

At the Jasper County ARES meeting an Award of Excellence was presented by District D DEC Ken Baremore to Andy Gabbert KA0UTD upon his retiring as Jasper County EC for the past 18 years. Andy will still remain a viable asset in Jasper county and I am sure that his wealth of knowledge and experience will be called upon in the future. Please share in your congratulations to Andy for his outstanding service to his community.
