Grundy County ARES EC Receives Prestegious NOAA Award

Congratulations to Glen Briggs KB0RJP for receiving the NOAA Environmental Hero Award from the National Weather Service!

Glen Briggs, KB0RPJ, personally volunteers several hundred hours per year reporting severe weather to our office. He spends more time working severe weather than I do and is very deserving of the award.

HE IS THE ONLY PERSON BEING RECOGNIZED BY THE UNITED STATES NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FOR THIS HONOR THIS YEAR!

Really a special award!
