Ending first month of the New Year with appointments.

As I have stated in my meetings with some of the membership and also in my letter that was sent out one of my goals this year is to have appointments to positions within the ARES® chain of command. It is my pleasure to recognize the following new appointee’s:

William Frank, AC0JK – District D: Lawrence County EC
Jim Dobkins, KC0OKO – District D: Webster County EC
William Gilmore, KC0TCF – District D: Greene County AEC
John Elmore, KC0ZOY – District D: Greene County AEC for Liaison to Emergency Management

DEC Receives Award of Excellence upon his “retirement”

At the recent hamfest held in Springfield an Award of Excellence was presented to Dean Bickford K0PHI upon his “retiring” as District D DEC for the past 18 years. Ken Baremore  W0KRB took over for Dean who had recommended as his replacement. Dean will stay on and remain the EC for Stone County. I am sure that his wealth of knowledge and experience will be called upon in the future. Please share in your congratulations to Dean for his outstanding service to his community.
